ABOUT US...

The idea to form a Kiteboarding Association in the Central Texas area was the result of a handful of local recreational riders uniting to address concerns about safe Kiteboarding, Kiteboarding access to Central Texas Lakes, and provide a network of mediation between the Central Texas Kiteboarding community and area parks and authorities.

On September 16, 2002 the idea of those few local riders became a reality for all riders in the Central Texa area by forming the Central Texas Kiteboarding Association. The purpose of the CTKA is to provide a network of information and support so that all members can safely and joyfully kiteboard in the Central Texas area. The CTKA encourages all members to responsibly and respectfully follow the sports established safety guidelines to ensure that the sport of Kiteboarding continues to thrive in the best Central Texas has to offer.

The Central Texas Kiteboarding Association is a non-profit Association. The CTKA serves its members by providing information about local riding spots, weather, Kiteboarding safety guidelines and related events. The CTKA also proudly serves its members by providing a forum for members to communicate with each other so that all riders of all levels can come together to help each other, learn from each other, and look out for each other.
